On most installations in the UK, liquid screed is installed so that it surrounds the heating pipes completely and leaves a protective layer above them.

  • Heating pipes measuring 16–20mm in diameter

  • Approximately 25–30mm of screed covering the pipes

  • A total screed depth of around 40–50mm

This allows the screed to distribute heat effectively while creating a stable base for flooring.
